I just watched The Matrix for the first time, which is ironic because I owned it on VHS as a kid.

And yet, I’m glad that it took me this long to watch it because I greatly appreciate it now more than I ever would have, years ago…

The Matrix is easily the best movie I’ve seen in terms of the depth that it brings.

#1.

Morpheus — “You are a slave, Neo. Like everyone else, you were born into bondage, born into a prison that you cannot smell, or taste or touch, a prison for your mind.”

It is true for a lot of human beings, we humans are born into a deeply conditioned world. The unconscious thought that who I am in the most absolute sense is the thinker.

Unconsciousness, however, is not a bad thing; it is perfectly necessary for the universe to experience itself in the imperfection of each human mind.

Essentially, each and every experience that has ever happened, is happening, or will ever happen, no matter how seemingly good or bad, is perfectly necessary for the evolution of human awareness.

And yet, simultaneously, it is in the absolute best interest of each human being to move through this prison, these bondages that we are unaware of.

So, what is the number one source of this unconsciousness?

It is not new beliefs or an expansion of human perspective, it is the COMPLETE identification with beliefs, with thoughts, and with time.

And yet, because you cannot smell it, taste it, or touch the irritation that looms with illusions, the internal struggle does not seem to be there.

Yet, it has some underlying effect on each and every experience that we have.

#2.

Neo – “This, this isn’t real.

Morpheus — “What is real? How do you define real? If you’re talking about what you can feel; what you can smell and taste and see, then real is, simply electrical signals interpreted by your brain.

This is the interpretation of the brain and what we call perception. And yet, we know that perception is limited from the very standpoint of subjectivity or an interpretation of what reality actually is.

Unbiasedly, why should my perception of reality be the absolute perception?

Or any of the 7 ½ billion individual interpretations be?

Perception & interpretation have been passed down through generation, culture, race, religion, and time.

Which all creates biased, influence, and subjective realities in infinitely many different ways. So, what is absolute is beyond biased, interpretation, and subjectivity.

It is awakening to the true essence of every perceived individual as the same ONE truth, the same one neutral reality, the same one consciousness, that is observing the uniqueness of all the differences.

#3.

Morpheus — “Have you ever had a dream NEO that you were so sure was real. What if you were unable to wake from that dream?

How would you know the difference between the dream world and the real world?”

There is a more concrete and stable reality beyond the dream of external reality, our thoughts, our five physical senses, and our knowledge, and it is the awakening to our true essence.

“You are eternally yourself, the rest is only a dream. That is why it is called an awakening.” – Mooji

The reality that we perceive is the dream itself.

Which itself is the physical intellectual projection of our minds.

We only think that we know what is real because we have been taught to believe what is real and accepted it with no second thought.

This is the Matrix.

#4.

Neo – “Why do my eyes hurt?

Morpheus — “You’ve never used them before.”

When you have been trapped in a nightmare your whole life, living in the darkness, then the light is going to be extremely bright.

The mind will potentially hurt; the physical senses will hurt, because, when you have a strong evolution of awareness that will penetrate you in an instant, then it can put your nervous system into shock from awakening to your true absolute self.

The faith to keep going will come from your ability to KNOW that, no matter how hurtful the pain is of expanding your awareness, not only WILL YOU BE OK, you will feel better than you ever possibly imagined.

Transformation does not happen when the mind is comfortable.

It happens when the mind is going through a struggle, like that of a baby during its teething phase.

“No mud, no lotus.” – Thich Nhat Hanh

#5.

Morpheus — “This is the world as you know it. It exists as a neuro interactive simulation that we call the matrix.”

In the same way, because the mind itself is the conditioning, the world of identification with the mind is a simulation.

The mind has been taught what is good, what is bad, how to think, and how to feel.

Because of this, our impulses of the things we want, desire, or need are built into us; the impulses themselves are a simulation.

This is the same exact way that our perception is built from movies, music, videos, video games, education, religion, politics, and more.

Because this perception is filtered, our way of living and how we feel about the world is in a lot of ways on autopilot.

This is the collective dream state.

This is the Matrix.

#6.

Morpheus — “There are fields Neo, where humans are no longer born. We are grown.”

The collective dream state, that does not want change and will fight tooth and nail to keep change from happening.

Part of firmly planting old paradigms is to grow humans with viewpoints, beliefs, and systems.

If we do not see past the Matrix we will not be spontaneous with what we truly naturally want in life, but we will be grown into the average recycled mind.

#7.

“I feel I owe you an apology, we have a rule we never free a mind once it’s reached a certain age, it’s dangerous, the mind has trouble letting go.”

How many times have you seen kids playing freely out in the world with not a care in the world?

Have you ever questioned why kids go from just having fun and observing life to transitioning into an adult and instantly becoming a lot less happy?

Yes, I know we naturally acquire more responsibilities as we become adults, and YET, it is never those responsibilities themselves that turn us from a freely loving kid into a stressed out adult.

A perfect example of this is the amount of weight that we drag from Monday (generally the first workday of the week) all the way until Friday is super heavy.

It is the amount of conditioning that we gather without silent recognition that creates the stress and anxiety levels.

The further you age without emptying out of thought & The Matrix, the further and further you get lost in the world of things.

The further you get lost in the conditioning, the harder it will be to let go of the spell that conditioning has on us.

This is why just experiencing the world and “becoming wiser” in the world of things does not equal more freedom.

Only pure thoughtless awareness can free you, and it does not matter the age.

Example: I love both my grandparents on both sides. And yet, I could never begin to discuss things like “You are not your mind” with them because they have gone too far down the rabbit hole of conditioning.

The best thing I could ever do to help free them is to set my own internal being free to know itself. In fact, nothing I could ever say or do would have the same effect on the world more than by realizing my own freedom.

#8.

“As long as the matrix exists. The human race will never be free.”

As long as the human race continues to identify itself with the mind, with thought & with emotion, we will never be free.

#9.

“Some of the rules can be bent, other rules can be broken.”

This picture perfectly illustrates the Matrix.

And yet, school, jobs, work, marriage, having kids, and listening to the news will not specifically harm you. It is thinking that you have to ABSOLUTELY have to do any of this stuff.

Rather than planning out your whole life, live spontaneously and let your natural desires happen.

#10.

“Do you believe me being faster or stronger has anything to do with my muscles in this place?”

This is a perfect statement of how our mind limits us from experiencing this world at peak states.

The mind, thoughts, and emotions are what makes living in this world fun. It gives the world its flavor.

Letting go of the identification with the mind, your senses, your experience of the world will be much more enriched and expanded.

As your being opens up as pure awareness itself, the mind will be able to operate with no box.

Don’t try to think outside of the box, realize that the box itself is the illusion, and is the Matrix.

#11.

“Don’t think you are, KNOW you are.”

Thinking in its most natural form is very unstable. Think about how many times in one day you have changed your mind and how you do it on a consistent basis.

When you begin to observe from the absolute neutral reality, then you come to KNOW that you exist, rather than thinking you exist.

When you KNOW that you exist, then existence can work its eternal magic through you as you.

#12.

“I’m trying to free your mind Neo, but I can only show you the door, you’re the one who has to walk through it.”

Being free from thought will never happen as the result of words that someone says to you.

The best words can do is point you in the direction of the door, and then you have to walk through it.

Your mind can show you the door, but, as you walk through it, you have to leave the mind, and dissolve into a feeling aware presence.

#13.

“Try not to think of it as right and wrong NEO, she is a guide who can help you find the path.”

The mind gets so fixated on what is right and what is wrong that it can never relax by just allowing things to be perfectly mysterious, the way they are in this moment.

The mystery of this world is why it is perfect. It is a perfect mystery.

If everything were answered, then there would be no point in living. It is because of the mystery, the unknown, that life can be just as it is.

#14

“I thought it wasn’t real?

Your mind makes it real.

If you die in the matrix you die here.

The body cannot live without the mind.

The body and mind are synonymous. In physical death, both the mind and body dissolve simultaneously.

When you label reality with likes, dislikes, positive, and negative, and you believe that those labels are completely real, that is how you now experience the world, through the small lens of labels.

The unconsciousness, the Matrix, is keeping you trapped in never finding that formless dimension within you, the feeling aware presence that is the freedom itself.

Dying in the Matrix is saying that you until you wake up from the Matrix, and wake up to the unbelievable aliveness it is essentially like being dead.

#15.

“The Matrix is a system NEO, that system is our enemy, but when you’re inside what do you see?

Businessmen, teachers, lawyers, carpenters the very minds of the people that we are trying to save. But until we do, these people are a part of that system and that makes them our enemy. You have to understand that these people are not ready to be unplugged. And so many of them are so dependent on the system that many of them will fight to protect it.”

Every human, no matter what, is not special in any way, shape, or form. We or the “I am” is the same awareness, not based on higher or lower awareness, which is a measurement that the mind uses to distinguish “me” from “you” to find my[self].

And yet, for us seeming individuals who have realized the one absolute self, the one absolute self can spread this message, if it feels right in the spontaneous, instantaneous, effortless heart’s desire.

Spreading this message is not a must because nothing in the world of change is absolutely necessary, so, therefore, the actions I take are not absolute but just part of the play of form.

The matrix, the unconsciousness, is NEVER the enemy because it is not bad.

Unconscious has a bad rap, and yet, even the unconscious is perfect because awareness (Yin) and the lack of awareness (Yang) both exist in the perfect ‘what is’ neutrality.

In fact, they are two sides of the same paradox.

So, those who are not ready to awaken to the true absolute self are also themselves perfect.

Those who are not even remotely close to living up to society’s standards are themselves perfect.

The moment, as it is, is perfect when we don’t label it.

This also means that the current state that the world is in is also perfect when we don’t label it, because the world of form exists in its truest nature as the formless dimension.

They are not separate. In fact, there is no “they”, there is only we or the “I Am” and everything that appears and disappears within that I AM consciousness.

  1. Matthew; give your heart to Jesus Christ and truly free your mind from this matrix. From the heart believe unto righteousness and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation. Time is short and this matrix will be no more, there is only one true living God!

    1. Hi, James. You’re self-image is illusory in that it’s transient. If you look at your self-image from the day before, and or the day after you will see that it doesn’t exist in a timeless sense. So if this is the case, then nobody needs to be saved, and you’re already that Christ Consciousness.
