No Mind Equals Presence

When you go back to the history of time, you will see humanity created ideas like using the sun and the moon to tell themselves exactly where they stood within the complexities of the universe. Fast forward to now the man has made time into a science.

What was the whole purpose to create time to begin with? Time is simply a measurement of our existence relative to death. Man, after all is terrified with the unknown and dyeing is going into the unknown for the rest of eternity. Time allows us to plan our lives, according to considerations such as the expected rate of death.

Why the spiritual path is so frightening to the thinking-mind is that when you take away the comprehensive concept that is future, you take away the mind’s security. The ‘security of the mind’ has caused the most significant pain and suffering among humanity and nothing even remotely comes close.

“Stop thinking and end your problems.” – Lao Tzu

The thinking-mind has caused more emotional pain & suffering than a ten thousand wars squared. That is why a significant amount of spiritual teachings point back to being.

Being is effortless presence. Being is the complete awareness of the energy underneath the statements “I AM” in its totality. There is only one way to effortless presence, when the thinking-mind is gone. The mind in its most natural state is loud, sure we can slow it down, but it is impossible to be present with any ounce of the mind activated.

Do you know why presence is hard to comprehend? Because it incomprehensible, the mind sees time a linear idea, past and future. Notice it did not say present, because although you make consider the present as idea of the mind, it absolutely not of it but completely separate. In universoul there is no time, because the present moment is all that there is. The present moment in fact is not a concept of time, only past and future are.

Take eternity for instance, eternity conceptualized is the future going on forever. Nonconceptually the present moment is eternal, and if you extract the present moment out of the concept of eternity as a simply idea, then eternity does not exist.

Human existence is where the breath lies, it is where all human life form exists. The present moment is an eternal moment, when the thinking-mind considers this it chops up this long moment into past and future. When there is no mind activated then past and future are no more.

One hundred percent of fear is of the mind, hence the reason that the mind will not allow you to ‘be’ present.

Consider the way the way that The Buddha attainted enlightenment. He sat underneath a tree for 7 days, and meditated until he found the answers that he was looking for.

The whole point of meditation is to rid of the mind, and be ‘present’. Gautama Buddha practiced presence, and so he became enlightened. Enlightenment has also been translated into a concept called Nirvana. Nirvana is state of joy, peace, serenity and tranquility. It is the ultimate freedom where you are in a state of absolute peace right now, and with the unknown.
